Rebecca Stuckey Visual Artist

My fiber art pieces are composed of various fabric pieces, recycled materials and wood supports. I incorporate machine and hand sewing, embroidery and on occasion text in my work which offers another layer of contemplation for me. I am especially drawn to the tactile qualities and the ephemeral nuances of textiles.

In addition to my fiber art pieces, I assemble collages using photos, found objects, patterns and notes. I am greatly inspired by Japanese aesthetics, especially Wabi-Sabi, and drawn to architecture and the beauty in nature.
